I am looking for any advice to help me over the shock of the diagnosis. I hurt my back lifting a piece of furniture, went to physio then A&E in Spain (when on holiday), I was x-rayed and then prescribed painkillers and muscle relaxants. The pain got worse and I came home early, went to my doctor who prescribed similar medication to Spain, I then developed a cough, I tested for Covid and it was positive, I went down hill quickly, my wife took me to A & E and was admitted as an emergency, all organs were failing and oxygen was really low. With the help of the experts I was strong enough to be transferred to the high dependency unit where I was then sent for a scan, it was after that I was told that I probably had MM. After 14 days I am still testing positive and waiting on the Haematology ward agreeing to do my bone marrow sample procedure. I am keen to have lots of questions answered and get things moving, whatever life I have left I want to live it to the best of my ability rather than sitting in a hospital room waiting for anything to be done. I am 63 and have always been healthy, I never remember my doctors name as I am never there. If you can offer me any advice I will be pleased to hear it, thanks.
