    • Hi
Yes getting travel insurance can be very difficult and companies often only offer single trip cover
I’m on the RADAR trial which I started in January 2022 and have been in remission on no treatment for 2 years
Many insurance companies, as soon as I mention the trial, will not insure me
At present we have policy with All Clear which allows us to travel to Jersey, a island we love, and the cost of that is around £600 for annual policy, a trip say to Spain would be extra £250. We have son and family in the States but that would cost at least £3000!, we’re fortunate that they’re returning to live in UK
It does seem terribly unfair to be penalised so when on a trial but,we do live on a beautiful island with so much to see on our own doorstep and I do feel so fortunate that I’m in remission and feeling well
I think we will be sticking with All Clear mainly because we feel we don’t want to go through anymore extremely lengthy questions when speaking to the insurance companies, there is always the fear that inadvertently we miss some piece of information that , were we to make a claim, would invalidate it
Good luck with getting insured, particularly those, like me who are on a trial
Be really interested to know of your experiences x
