I was diagnosed with MM in August 2023 when all the biopsy and test were completed. My treatment began in January 2024. I’m on the DVTD protocol.
Everything went well for the first 3 weeks, then I went in for my weekly chemo which is a Wednesday my weekend as well as the the days prior were not good I really feeling poorly. They took my temperature as is the usual. My temperature was 37.8 within in an hour it had gone up to 38.5 c. I was hospitalised for 3 nights and treated with antibiotics. No DVTD. I was discharged on the Saturday. My treatment resumed the Wednesday, I’ve been fine since.
The side effect I have had are Bloated belly, numbness in my toes, dizziness and constipation. The medical team are treating me with this but some effect not complete effectiveness.
I’m on my 4th Cycle then will be having a stem cell transplant hopefully.
