Hi, new to the site and fairly new to myeloma and chemo. I’m on the Dara/VRD treatment programme so pretty intensive with daily meds and weekly injections. So far a range of mild side effects though my tinnitus as played up over the last three weekends!

To give us something to look forward to beyond the initial phase of treatment (September to April 2027) we’ve been looking at a lot set of long haul holidays. Our planned destinations are New Zealand, Namibia and India plus we have cruises booked from before my diagnosis to the Baltic and Greek islands.

I was wondering if anyone here has been through myeloma treatment then gone on to any of these places whilst in remission? I’m aware we would need to sort out insurance but we are with Nationwide and their travel insurance is pretty good. Quite what the position will be in a years time we will see!
