Your upbeat post gives me hope. I am going through the stem cell collection process currently (chemo Wednesday, first injection yesterday…..yuk!) and so want to be “normal” again. Is that really possible?

Hi Carol, well firstly good luck with the collection! Personally I had to have the very expensive GCSF to make mine work, but got there in the end. Yes, you can be ‘normal’ again! 2 years ago I was in a lot of pain, and could hardly crawl to the bathroom from my bed. Today I have put up a Christmas tree, and been out on my motorbike, which is pretty good progress, and I am sure you can do that too! You may have a bit of a challenge during the SCT, but I was fortunate and weathered it pretty well (except getting hooked on Homes under the Hammer) but you will soon be home and getting back to normal.
