Hi everyone!
I've not been on much lately but have been reading through posts catching up on how everyone is doing and see there are many new faces in the forum. For everyone who has helped me in the past I want to say a huge thank you and for those who are new I would like to give some info,
1 year ago my dad was diagnosed this amyloidosis and myeloma both were unfamiliar to us as we hadnt heard of either illness. Our world was thrown into panic and dispair, I googled these conditions and my heart sank however thankfuly I found this forum on myeloma uk which in its self was a god send but the people on here even more so, so much info and support offered which has really helped me and my family.
My dad completed 6 months of CTD and so far has had a complete reponse we are so relieved and are embarking on 2012 full of hope and positivity, last year was stressful but my dad got through it and fills me with pride at the way he faced everything.
As many people say finding out you or a loved one has myeloma is the start of a journey and I am thankful for the friends on here who help along the way.
Sending love to you all
