    Hello to all.
Well it has been months since I was last on here.
in nov. Of last year I had my SCT .
Unfortunately I caught an infection .i was on iTu for a month and HDU and spent a total of
    3 months in hospital.
It was touch and go but I survived.

It was a very difficult time for my family, but everyone rallied round.
I had a stroke and heart attack and lost some of my sight.

so here I am.my hair is starting to grow back ,but not a curl in sight, o well.

I had to give up my lovely jobs, so when I have recovered enough I will have lo think
    Of a new hobby.

I,m. A different person now,I enjoy every minute of the day. And love life.

Hi Jane, I remember your original postings, you worked in a hospice?, I think you were diagnosed after me but was racing ahead. I had my SCT at Xmas and came through, thankfully, unscathed. Wish I could swap hair as I hate the start of my new curls! I am so sorry to hear how tough it’s been but am glad you are still smiling and getting on with life. I know what you mean about enjoying every minute – before all this happened I was one of the ones who would say “I’d rather die than have to live like…” but now I hold life so precious I’ll cling to it/adapt to it whatever may happen. When things like this strike there are only two ways to go – down or up – I’m glad you’ve chosen the latter as I know how hard it is to get there but as someone said “it’s miserable being miserable” and a waste of precious time. I hope you continue to go from strength to strength Jane and live life large. So nice to hear from you again.

    Best wishes, Rebecca

    Hi Jane

I don’t think people like Rebecca and me, who cruise through transplant have any idea of how much you must have suffered. That you have come through with such a positive outlook is fantastic! I hope things continue on the up and up for you. My darn hair is only about an inch long (5 months after transplant) but it is already trying to curl! I have been out twice without my wig, but wear it everyday at my job in a school. I think I would frighten the kids if I appeared with my current grey twisted mop!
