I too have just come on here, as I do sporadically, to see how everyone is doing and the friendly faces and comments on different posts are so encouraging.. what a wonderful family to belong to..
I too like clara, am one year on… Mum was diagnosed just before Xmas 2010 and this has been one hell of a year.. Lots of researching and battling and positive attitude and above all lots of laughter and determination….
Mum had her SCT in November and is doing so so well.. Her post transplant 12 wk check is in February and that we are more than prepared for… Mum is looking so well driving again after a few months out, due to her Ill health, she is independent and smiling and living her life in a way we are so proud of..
The family are happy and smiling and pleased to begin a new year with the chance of some normality .. ( if you can ever say that living with MM can return to normal!!??)
I just want to say that I am so aware of how it could have been a different story and for some of you on here, you have witnessed the cruel way this disease takes over and for you that different story has become a harsh reality.. I admire all of your courage and strength..
But if I could say a heartfelt thanks for now, as I'm sure anything could be round the corner, to all of you who have commented on my posts or given me support and positive thoughts…
May you all take each day at a time, and keep the "onwards and upwards" theme going….
Lots of love
Only Me
