Awaiting consultation with haematologists

    My husband has just received news from gp following blood tests that  he has myeloma we are very anxious and seem to be trying to improve his pain which is back pain .

    how long does it take for the appointment and can they help with his pain

    Hi l also live in the southwest. I was sent to see a kidney specialist but he said l need to see a haematologist, which l saw within one week of him. They were very fast and acted very quickly on my results from bloods, so fast in fact l started chemo the following week! Can’t fault the plymouth hospital in the south west. All the best..

    HI

    I live in Exeter and as soon as I was diagnosed i saw the consultant the day I was told and he did a Bone marrow biopsy the same day. The Heamatology  Dept at the local hospital is second to none.
