Does anyone know if there is anyway of accessing Bispecifics in Scotland other than at fourth line through NHS eg private health cover or clinical trial? Seems the only way is some centres in England provide this. Has anyone had bispecifics and were side effects worse than chemo?

    Many thanks

    Hi Anne,

Private medicine does allow patients the chance to get treatments earlier than the NHS would give them. However, I can’t say whether a private medical insurer would pay for it, and according to Chat GPT the private cost of bispecifics is often over £250,000!

There was a discussion on this forum about Elranatamab, which covers peoples’ experiences:

    Hi Rabbit

Thanks for your reply. Again, really useful advice. That’s some price! Best we can hope for at moment is for bispecifics and CART T to be higher up the Lines of Treatment as haematologists are so restricted by NHS when I get impression doctors know it can be a better route in some cases.

    Regards

    Anne
