    Bruising from injection remedy.
I have been getting a lot of bruising on my stomach from injecting Filgrastim and the blood thinner Clexane for a couple of years now.
Apart from it not looking great with the dark bruising. It’s also painful to inject into a bruised area and can also be difficult to empty the syringe.
I have found a remedy for this is to place a blue ice block from a lunch bag directly on the skin. Keep it there for about 30 seconds to chill the area and shrink the blood capillaries.
Do the injection then place a bit of kitchen towel on the site for any bleeding and put the ice block over the top for another 30 seconds or so. Then apply a spot plaster if needed.
I’ve found that apart from stopping the bruising it’ll numb any injection pain and it’s easier to empty the syringe.
Hope it helps and hope I’m not teaching anyone to suck eggs

Interesting idea Pongo, I’ll bear that in mind if I regress and have to go back to infections around that area!

I recall at one point I was all black and blue in that area, but it didn’t cause me any discomfort.

you are definitely not teaching me to suck eggs 😉
