    Hi everyone

I had my SCT 3 months ago. Exactly a week before starting maintenance therapy (lenolidomide 10 mg), I experienced joint pain and strong numbness and tingling on the tip of my hands fingers(except the little finger). The joint stiffness usually goes away or lessen 30 minutes after i get up in the morning but the numbness continue all the day. A month later, I referred to an orthopedic hand specialist and he diagnosed severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) for my right hand and mild CTS for left hand. Since then I’m wearing splint and do massage therapy at home. The Dr. further prescribed gabapentin 200 mg to be taking daily at night.
Although there is no interaction reported between Lenalidomide (maintenance) and gabapentin but the side effects of Gabapentin is quite scary. I hesitate to take the medication. Is there anyone has ever experienced Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) after ASCT ? In case u took gabapentin medication to treat the symptom, what was the side effect? Was it effective? Should I have hope for improvement or i need to prepare myself mentally for surgery ?

carpal tunnel sydrome =compression of the median nerve in the wrist
PAIN at night relieved by hanging hand over bed or shaking hand
numbness in thumb and index finger and half of middle finger (not just tips )
    confirmed by nerve conduction studies
