    1. Hi all,

roughly how how long after a bone scan and bloods and urine tests did you got your appointment through to get your results? My mum had bloods and urine three weeks ago and bone scan a week ago. Just thinking that as she still hasn’t it heard it might be a good thing?

    Thank you

Hi! My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago and he got a phone call from consultant within a few  days! Hopefully a good sign for your mum! Fingers crossed! X x

    Hi Ceri,

I had my scan one day and then the following day, received a call from my GP as the results from the scan were through. It was then only a few days before I saw my encologist at the hospital for the first time.

As another member of the forum has indicated, this seems like fairly good news for your mother.

    Regards,

    Robert

Hi Ceri, my hospital in West Yorkshire took awhile with all results, initial blood test and urine was two weeks, bone marrow was 3 weeks then they did xray which was going to be another three week wait…I found out I was smouldering myeloma. Hope all will be okay its the uncertain that is the worse.

    Hugs Helen

    Hi Helen,

thanks for posting. You’re right it is the uncertainty of not knowing. My mum had a cat scan about a month ago that picked up a legion on her ribs, the consultant then sent her for bloods and urine and a full bone scan. Hopefully we will hear soon, my mum is very philosophical about it all but I can think of nothing else.

    Hope all ok with you,

    Take carr

    Hi Ceri,

How did things turn out? Have you had your Mum’s results?

I’m in a similar position with my Dad. His lesions were picked up incidentally following a stroke in early November. He had his blood/urine test and x-ray yesterday. MRI is 2 weeks later and the results about 10 days after that. So much waiting! I wondered if they might phone if the blood/urine showed up anything.

    Good luck with everything,

    Alex

    Hi Alex,

my my Mum got the all clear last week, they think the lesion on her rib maybe a fracture that hasn’t healed correctly. The consultant told my mum that if there had been a problem with her blood and urine he would have contacted her straight away.  Fingers crossed for your Dad, please let me know how you get on.

    Take care
