Hi – just wanted to ask fellow followers about the tiredness aspect of Myeloma. I have recently been in hospital overnight as I had been suffering dizzy spells and basically could not get out of bed as I was so tired – unless you have suffered with this all consuming exhaustion it is so difficult to explain – however I think I must have had some kind of virus as every time my bloods came back – they were all normal. In fact I felt so ill I have not taken my oral medication and missed a couple of injections – which the hospital obviously know about – I felt so positive initially – but that has certainly fallen by the wayside as everything and I mean everything takes so much effort – in addiction I now am experiencing bone pain which I have never had before – I seem to have a low tolerance of pain and worry that the further down the line I get the pain would be intolerable.

Sorry to rabble on – but wonder if anyone had tried an alternative diet or found foods that helped in some way – every little helps – thanks for reading – feel better already just writing it down

I feel tired often but not to the extent you describe. It is odd that your blood tests don’t show anaemia or any thing else that would account for it. I think that the reason I went through initial drug treatment relatively well was that my husband kept insisting that I eat even if I didn’t feel like it. So lots of fresh food, fruit and vegetables helped me I believe. I didn’t cut out any food group and only took a calcium and vitamin D supplement. It all must have helped as my stem cell collection was a breeze and the doctor told me they collected 15 million cells per kg. I am claiming that as a record!
