Hello Everybody -Having been a periodic contributor to the Forum for a number of years (husband first diagnosed with MM 2009, several chemo treatments and two STCs later and doing ok) I would like to ask if anyone can help me raise funds for MyelomaUK. Basically, I have been an avid machine knitter for over 30 years and still have a stock of yarn that would open at least 2 shops. However, having been retired for the past 4 years my outlets have somewhat diminished. I have raised funds for Myeloma UK periodically in a small way by using up my stock of yarn and selling knitted goods, ie hats. baby blankets, scarves and other small fund-raising items and gifts, eg hand-made jewellery All monies raised are donated to MyelomaUK and I take out no expenses whatsoever. In November I am having a craft stall at a local church craft fair for which Myeloma UK has provided publicity material, but I find that many craft fairs charge £25 -£30 for a stall. This is not viable when many of my items are sold for just £3.00, (max price £6.00 for large baby blanket) so if anyone has any connection with craft fairs/school fairs, etc where I could sell the goods for Myeloma UK, particularly in the North Manchester area I would be very grateful.
