This morning’s post brought a thank-you gift to “Dear Patient and Carer Research Panel Member” – a notebook, a pen, an apple & cinnamon bar, a sachet of “Luxury Hot Chocolate”, and etc. including a business card from a small gifts business.
I’m very grateful, but there is no mention of how this was funded. My first reaction on opening the box was “Hope this didn’t come out of donations!” I should like to know whether these were freebies from the various manufacturers – i.e. essentially advertising – or how else this was paid for. My wife’s first reaction, by the way, was “Not very healthy!”
I hope someone can clear this up for me. Thanks.
