My brother has been diagnosed with myeloma and is not yet in remission despite taking Velkade for 5 months. A friend mentioned a product called Graviola or soursop taken in tea bag form. This is supposed to kill cancers. Has anyone heard of or taken it. It is for sale at Amazon £13.99.
Also my brother still suffers from nausea and has done now for 7/8 months. Any ideas to help him with this, please?
i read your post with intrest but. please be aware of so called wonder drugs as there arnt any. we would all be buying. ebay miracles
Hi Annlynn
Thank you for your reply. I understand what you are getting at but there will be a cure – there is a cure for everything, it is just a matter of time. Many cures are found in plants. The millions of deaths from TB were stopped when it was discovered that antibiotics could cure. Also I had a friend with a stomach ulcer for years until again antibiotics cured that.
As the elder sister I feel I have to do everything for my brother.
Thanks once again and let’s hope for a cure soon.
Wendy
Hi,
I have heard of it but I don’t know of anyone that has tested it yet.
My father is due to start treatment of CTD tomorrow, but when he was diagnosed a few weeks ago we have changed his diet. Specialists will say there is no specific diet but we say it’s worth a try. I researched different cancer related diets and came across a spice called turmeric which is stated to target and kill the MM cells. Obviously I am not a specialist and I am not sure if it is working or not but his plasma cells are low and so are his PP levels.
I hope this helps, regarding the nausea I will keep you posted on things we try out if my Father gets it.
Take care x
Thank you so much for responding.
What is CTD? There will be a cure I am sure and I have told my brother to keep strong until then. We do not have cancers in our family (usually heart problems and then caused by illnesses in childhood) so this is all strange to us. Why on earth did my brother go from being extremely healthy (He had just retired and looked so well and tanned) to getting myeloma. There is a reason for its starting and I can’t wait to find out what that is. He did not work in the petrochemical industry so that hasn’t caused it.
Thank you so much for the turmeric heads up – have heard it is good against alzheimers onset. It looks as though we need something to target and kill the MM cells as I have learned the body does not recognise these as ‘bad’ and therefore does nothing about them. A bit on TV last night about Virology where they are changing the herpes virus to recognise and attack cancer cells but they only mentioned re a man who had a cancerous lump in his neck (which completely disappeared after treatment) and they are now moving onto skin cancers melanomas. Shame the next one wasn’t myeloma!
My brother nibbled at ginger biscuits which kept his nausea at bay in the early stages. Again I mentioned ginger biscuits to him and he dismissed this idea so I told my brother to buy him some and take them into hospital. He then discovered that they worked but no doubt will not
remember that his older sister advised him to take them – brothers!!!!
Hope your father’s treatment sends him into remission.
All the best
Wendy
P.S. Yes please keep in touch
How does your father eat the turmeric – I can only think of it in curries!
My brother’s paraproteins levels were 60 at his worst with his kidneys failing (mind you he had stopped drinking – I had told him in the past that he didn’t drink enough but would he listen to his sister – no!) but he has now taken this on board and by my making him drink continuously in hospital- always refreshing his water and handing it to him and giving him grapes etc (which is what the nurses should be doing) his kidneys, against all docs expectations, have recovered. His PP levels after having Velkade dropped to 7.5 – docs
stopped Velkade as levels weren’t going down any more and I think they want them to be at 1 or 2. He is to see the specialist next Friday.
Hi,
You can read up on CTD via this website i’m not really sure I would explain it correctly.
It sounds as though we have a similar story my father also is very fit and we don’t have cancer in our family.
The only thing we think could be linked is that he has had shingles twice about 2 years.
I really do hope there will be a cure sooner.
Regarding the turmeric we grate it on well nearly everything. We use it in marinades on roast chickens in stir frys. You’ll be surprised it goes with a lot.
thank you for the tip on the ginger were 4 days in no symptoms at the moment finggers crossed it stays like that.
i make my father drink around 4 litres of water today i have read that water is so important in all this.
can i ask how old your brother is and when did he get diagnoised?
i hope when you see the specialist you get a plan that will put him on the path to remission.
Take care
Georgie

Hi Georgie
How do you grate turmeric – I have only seen it in powder form. Never thought to just put it on the top of food. My brother is 66 so only just started enjoying retirement. He was diagnosed last October.
Drinking a lot is important anyway, especially for men as their waterworks are more complex.
Did you know they are giving people (over 70 I think) an injection against shingles. If you have had chicken pox it can lie dormant and come out later as shingles. I really think our bodies should be designed better!
Like you I am sure there will be a cure soon.
Will keep in touch
Wendy
