Since I was diagnosed they told I have now got a heart problem even though I had never suffered with heart problem before.  The consultant words where it’s underline as I had asked the question has the Chemo caused it. They can’t commit themselves by saying “yes it was” . Now I suffer shortness of breath and sometimes dizzy spell. Got Protein around the heart. So I go to Roll Free Hospital.

    What your thoughts this.

    Dear Herma ,
I know from personal experience Chemo can effect the heart but usually only on a temporary basis (?six weeks?). Protein around the heart is very unlikely to be related to chemo or indeed myeloma but may due to a related condition called amyloidosis . Further information is available on this website but you should get further clarification at the royal free which i think is the national centre for Amyloidosis.
    Best wishes Michael
