    Hello everyone

I’ve discovered that I’ve got a persistent paraprotein showing since August but only just found out about it.

    My results are:

    Electrophoresis:
Fast gamma IgM lambda monoclonal band still present as before with some
immuneparesis. This band is too small and not quantifiable due to polyclonal
    background.

    Immunoglobulin G Level 4.4
    Immunoglobulin A Level 0.27
    Immunoglobulin M Level 2.06

    Electrophoresis
Monoclonal protein band present. Immunological quantitation invalid.

I’m not under a haematologist but this was picked up on an inpatient test in August but no one told me. It’s just been repeated and it’s still there….

Do I need to see a haematologist?

    Thanks
    Ruby

No medical background but my myeloma was picked up at an early stage by a blood test showing a higher paraprotein level than normal, the same was true for a friend. Get it checked as early diagnosis is very helpful in early treatment options.
