Next week I start cycle 3 of first-line DVT. I had a phone call from my haematologist/oncologist saying that he was increasing the thalidomide dose from 100mg/day to 200, and warning me to be on careful lookout for the long list of side-effects and to drop back to the original dose if any of them start to appear and cause problems.
He said this is standard practice (for him, of course) but I haven’t read about it here or elsewhere. So I’m wondering if anybody here has had their thalidomide dose increased halfway through a course of chemo, and if so, whether it caused any problems?
BTW, PPs down to 2, and all other blood numbers are good or only slightly low – no more so than can be explained by the treatment.
