    Hello Liz

I'm just back from Spain myself. Fortunately all went well. Sorry to hear your bad news. Do you see prfof Schey. He certainly knows his way round this disease so if it's him, you are in good hands.

I'm on Revlimid as maintenance and have been for the past year. Looks like I could have another couple of years remission with that if I'm lucky. Hopefully something else will come along in the meantime for us all.

    Good luck.

Kevs not doing too well at the moment (velcade/dex) lot of stomach cramps and now it's hit week off all meds before seeing prof on the 18th.

Long may you continue good health.

    Hi Liz,

I don't often see Prof Russell but he was excellent during my harvest, not hesitating to sign off on 2 courses of Plerixafor to ensure I got the minimum 2 million cells for my SCT. His 'bedside manner' is supposedly a bit abrupt but I have always found him approachable. I usually see Dr Cathy Williams or Dr Jenny Byrne… both very good, especially Dr Williams who is acknowledged as a Myeloma specialist.

Hopefully we will bump into each other at clinic or the new support group someday soon.:-)

    Dai.

No, Prof Schey is not based at Nottingham. He is at both Kings College and London Bridge hospitals.

I didn't do too well either on Velcade and dex. Hopefully things will pick up for you both. It seems to be pot luck on how you cope with that medication.

    Keep fighting.
