Hello everyone
I have been on Lenalidomide 10 mg maintenance for almost 5 years after having ASCT in August 2020. I’m also taking 1/4 warfarin 5mg as anticoagulant. I have experiencing hair lose and hair thinning 2 years after ASCT. Blood test results also showed levels for iron and ferritin are in the normal range. Initially i tot it could be related to lenalidomide side effect but when I did some self-study I came across several academic articles that Warfarin cause hair lose when taken for long period of time.
I would like to know What type of blood thinner you take with lenalidomide maintenance? any hair lose experience ?

I’ve been on 10 mg Lenalidomide for about 6 months following SCT last year. My blood thinner is Rivaroxaban. No experience of hair loss but my hair is not yet out of it’s curly re-growth phase after I lost it during the transplant.

I’ve been on 10mg Lenalidomide for a couple of years now but with 75mg Dispersible Asprin as blood1 thinner.
My hair is thicker and faster growing than before my SCT!

Good for You. I can say I have lost half of my hair. Probably in my case combination of factors contributed to the hair falls including: taking warfarin

That’s interesting. Just starting my 6th cycle of 10mg Lenalidomide, after having had ASCT last Christmas. When I asked my Oncologist about blood thinners prior to starting maintenance, she said they’re not normally prescribed as risk of clots is very low. So no blood thinners for me. I did have them, though, when I was on Induction treatment before the ASCT.
