Here’s a quick question. It seems that my yet to be confirmed MGUS diagnosis has been actually been MGUS for the past so years. Four months ago I ended up I hospital for a week with food poisoning (campylobacter from dodgy chicken). Quite ill with severe dehydration etc. ended up having two potassium and one iron infusion. The doctor said they don’t see many cases in hospital as it is a relatively common and people usually recover at home. I’m just curious and wonder if having MGUS played a role in it hitting me sooooo hard. Thought?
