Hello all,

A new support group has now been set up in Peterborough for patients and families / carers living with Myeloma, I now have some further details. The first meeting will be held on 7 January 2014 at The Cresset in Bretton, Peterborough at 2:00pm. The support group is intended to be a meeting point for patients and families or caregivers to share their experiences, speak with others going through the same thing, share advice and hear from professionals both medically and holistically in an informal setting.

Hi Georgie.

I understand you have set up a support group in Peterborough. Is this correct?
Do you cover stamford area aswell? If you could get back to me asap I would really appreciate it.

Hello,
I hope you are well.
The new support group in Peterborough is open to anyone who can get there. We thought it was a good spot for people in Peterborough, Spalding, Stamford and Wisbech (to name a few) as the closest support group to those living in Peterborough is Cambridge which is a little far out for most people in this neck of the woods.
It hasn't been updated on the website yet but should be in this coming week.

Hilary here – the other organiser of the group. George and I have set up a website for the support group just to keep everyone updated with any news:

We’re still looking forward to meeting all who can make it on the 7th (including you Milly!), and we’re planning to do a small raffle at each meeting to raise money for Myeloma UK for all that wish to take part.

Tea and coffee (and cups) will be provided, but if you’d like to bring your own mug to remind you of home, we think that would be a nice idea 🙂
