I had SCT in 2017 and have been monitored since without medication from 2018. I was told to have several “dead” vaccines in the coming year (done) but to avoid any “live” vaccines, like MMR. I am going on a Caribbean cruise soon and believe MMR might be worthwhile when visiting islands. My haematology specialist refers me to

    gov.co.uk.collections/immunisations-against-infections-disease-green-book
Chapter 6 page 4 in particular.
Which suggests after 24 months a “live” vaccine may be possible. Has anyone had a MMR vaccine and how did you react?

    Hi jm,
I’m afraid I don’t have any experience of live vaccines post SCT. What were your haematologists thoughts? It would be interesting to hear of anyones experiences. Sorry I can’t be of more help but hopefully someone on the forum will be able to share their experiences xx
