My dad was diagnosed with MM March 14 and after treatment with CTD and a SCT, is now in remission. His recent 3 monthly check with the Haematology consultant went well. Haemoglobin levels had been slightly low but were on the rise again. One thing my dad was complaining of was excess mucous in the throat, which although offering no other explanation, the consultant said it was not as a result of treatment. He had it a little bit before diagnosis and has suffered since. Does anyone know if it could be MM related and if so, what can be used to help clear it? The consultant was going to prescribe something but hasn’t yet & my dad can’t remember what it is called.

    Thank you in advance

Yes I have this all the time and I am 14 months post transplant. I also wake up every morning with 1 blocked nostril. The doctor thought it may be an allergy (I have never been allergic to anything in my life) and said to get an over the counter medicine for allergies. I can’t say that it helped. All day I am continually trying to clear my throat unsuccessfully. If is driving me mad!
