Hi Everyone.
Over the past two months, my wife and I have slowly been erecting a Lemax Christmas Village. It sits in the corner of our longe and covers around about 32 square feet, and no before you ask, we don’t live in a mansion 😂.
Anyway, the journey to build this village for our Grandchildren, began about six years ago and was considerably smaller than it is today. Despite now relapsing and awaiting my further treatment, we have managed to visit numerous garden centres with fantastic displays and got some wonderful (and challenging) ideas. Now I think it’s fair to say, the display is as much for us, as it is for the Grandchildren.
After we completed it earlier this month, I was told by my daughters to promote it on a JustGiving page to try to raise money for Myeloma UK and I’ve been amazed at the response from so many kind people. To date we have raised £300!
My biggest regret with the JustGiving page and YouTube, is I wasn’t able to add music to my video and the video was a bit shaky (an age thing.) If I were able I would have added Carol of the Bells, my favourite Christmas carol!
