Hello everyone,

I was diagnosed in June 2010, after months of dilatory treatments from doctors who misdiagnosed my condition, I had a stem cell transplant in November 2010 and I am feeling good now so I hope for the best and keep my fingers crossed.

I felt the need to express myself after the hard times I had and especially after losing my partner who could not cope with my disease and abandoned me while I was in treatment! Instead of blogging, I have written a book which I published in Kindle :"A Tale of 2 Big Cs" by Roby Slimson, which tells the whole story and is a dramatic account of love, cancer, betrayal, hope and survival.
I think most of MM sufferers might find some comfort in reading it and knowing that they are not alone.
The proceeds from the book are given to cancer charities of which Myeloma UK and I do not benefit from any of it. I just have the satisfaction of sharing my experience with others.

I hope that you all, my friends, will enjoy the book and if there is any question I can help with please get in touch
Best wishes and Love to you all.

Hello everyone,

I just had my last blood tests results and it is a bit of a shock; after months of undetectable PP it has now crept up to 5 ! So here we go again on the upward slope. I don't feel any adverse symptoms but I am weary of every ache or sore. I do get headaches and I just had a sore throat that took ages to go…..
Well I must be mentally prepared for what comes next.

Love you all

Roby
