    Hi Everyone

I was diagnosed with MM June last year 2014 I went through the 6 months CDT reducing PP level from 43 to 5 all good and set for SCT .Stem Cell harvesting went well in February and I received an admission date for March.however all went wrong then on the day of my admission I arrived at the hospital only to be turned away because PP level had risen to 10.2 months later I am about to start new treatment with Velcade and Dexamethasone .

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else as it seems many people have had SCT with higher PP level?

    Thankyou and

    Take care

From what I understand it is better to go into transplant with your numbers as low as possible if you hope for a long remission. No doubt they will put you on more cycles of treatment to beat those numbers down before transplant. I think it is better to do that than have the transplant and have a short remission. My free light chains also started rising between initial therapy and transplant but I am in complete remission 16 months after transplant.
