    Hello
I have been smouldering for 5 yrs.
    Additionally I have Ankylosing Spondylitis.
My main pain areas for AS are SI joints, lower spine, neck and joint pains. Also, fatigue.
Recently I have been experiencing new aches mainly jaw bone and other minor twinges.
These could well be AS related.
I would like to hear from anyone their experiences in intial symptoms transitioning from SM to next stage.
    Many Thanks
    Mike (age 72)

    Hi

I was diagnosed with smouldering myeloma last October. I haven’t got symptoms yet so am not having any treatment yet. Just watchful waiting at the moment!

Hi, I was diagnosed last month. The diagnosis was SMM but the doctor is starting a treatment with Zometa (zoledronic acid). Do anyone has had that type of treatment?
I read that SMM should not be watched and no treated but I am confused why the treatment? Is it because I am high risk? Any help!!
    Many thanks
