I had my consult and bloods on Monday and back yesterday for Infusion 1 of Cycle 2 of Bendamustine. (Infusions on Day 1 and Day 8).

No Free Light Chains results as yet (they used to do them in house with results back in 24 hours but then closed down the unit to save money and now they send them to Birmingham where they take a fortnight or so to come back). But my general blood results are holding up (a little improved since before treatment) so its carry on until further notice. 😎

No discernible side-effects apart from fatigue and being knocked off my feet if I get too chirpy, so it's a manageable treatment so far and so far so good. 🙂

    Dear Dai,
So glad the bloods aren't bad. It's awful waiting, isn't it? I've just had a bizarre situation where I waited for about ten days expecting results and then I found out that a nurse at the local clinic did not send my bloods off to London even though I stressed how important it was. My husband and I got more and more nervous as the day of getting results approached, and then, well, we were back to square one….
    Best to you and Janet,
    Eva
