I’ve had terrible problems getting support in the community and with housing so I wrote a letter to my local newspaper, Islington Tribune.
Well, one of their reporters, Isabel, got in touch and it became a news article. At first I was a bit unsure about exposing my situation in this way but it’s worked wonders. At last my voice is being heard.
This might not suit everyone but the more we raise the problems faced by sick and disabled people, especially those of us with incurable blood cancer, the more support will have to change to suit us.
