Just reading this from a daughter who’s dad has had two successful stem cell transplant. The first lasted over 11 years which is just absolutely amazing. Yes it wasn’t pleasant treatment but totally worth it. He had his second transplant at age 70.. a huge risk but having been so successful the first and being fit and healthy we did it again. The second time he dealt with it much better. He had 2 very poorly weeks then it was just the isolation room that drive him mad. I think we also knew what to expect plus medicine had improved since the last time.
Unfortunately we had the news last week after 18 free months it’s back and slowly rising. It feels me with so much dread but reading your ongoing success with maintenance drugs I pray they work on him.
