Hi all…been having tummy and back pains as well as poo-poo's recently and have been down twice to my clinic for advice…well last Weds went for my normal monthly review and all is well on the myeloma front…light chains…ratio's…paraprotien etc all ok so still classed as in stringent complete remission…but they are at a loss as to what is causing the problems…so go tomorrow for an ultrasound (a.m.) and a CT scan (p.m.) and am awaiting an appointment for a an endoscopy…clinic really on the ball which I am pleased about ..hope at the end of all this it turns out to be "summat or nowt"…settle for an ulcer or gall stones..haha…stay safe…Phil

    Hi Philip

What a bumber !! This sure is a peculiar disease and there sometimes doesn't seem to be any rymne or reason why things happen. Hang onto the fact that your blood readings are Ok and let's hope the tests come back with nil results and that these are just strange symptoms which will pass.

    Keep cheerful.

    Hi Phil

How have you got on with your test for stomach and back pains???

The chemo takes a lot out of the body I think bowels and gut is the one that takes a long time to regulate it,s self. One year after SCT I still question Hubby on his body as I know he forgets things and it is an important marker to your general health ,so I keep on at him to take movical ,reason being it gets the gut working rather pushing waste through.

As you say summat or nowt, chemo destroys many things, hope you at least have peace of mind after test.Eve

Would echo what eve has said…..the gut and bowels take a hammering with all the treatment and sct….Colin's not right now. Acid bouts and the constipation and tummy pains…..summat of most will be 🙂
