I had my final chemo jab on 30th June 25, had a stem cell transplant in April 25 and am in full remission from multiple myeloma. I’m due to start the maintenance drug shortly. Bloods are pretty much back to normal. I have atrial fibrillation which has played up a little in direct response to some of the medication changes made during my m-m treatment.
Looking at a short break to the Canaries in October 25, started investigating annual travel insurance and have hit a major road block in that if I declare my m-m my searches return a ‘no quotes found’ response.
Can anyone offer me any guidance?

    Hi dciphone,

It’s great that you are in full remission!

Your situation is nonstandard, so tends to need the personal touch rather than a standard algorithm.

This has been a recent topic in one of the other sections of this forum. See:

Also, the Macmillan forum has a lot of posts on travel insurance for people wih cancer (not specific to myeloma). See:

Many thanks, I’ll call some on Monday and see if that helps. It’s frustrating as I’m struggling to see what could arise from my m-m during a week’s holiday that would need me to claim, bearing in mind how well I am and how near normal by counts are! So the temptation is not to declare, but sure enough they’d invalidate the insurance if I needed repatriation for something non myeloma related!!

    Hi Dciphone,

Personally I have found AllClear travel insurance to be really good, providing cover for my MM and dialysis. You might need to speak with them rather than do it online.
