My husband had a good response to revlimid and dex for first 2 cycles. FLC have reduced to 342 from 1240. He had other blood tests taken 2 weeks ago and his FLC have risen to 535. Went to consultant today for results after 3rd cycle but not available yet. If his FLC have risen again he was talking about a trial or he can request pomalidomide , at my prompting. We do not understand why he will not add cyclophosphamide to his treatment and we may need to go to Newcastle to get this treatment as discussed with Myeloma nurse. Feeling anxious after all Ian has come through there must be a treatment that works

    Hi Maureen,

You and Ian are in my thoughts. I hope you do not have to wait too much longer for the results and when you do get them, if a change of treatment is needed, I hope you find a way forward that works for Ian. A second opinion is a good idea even if it is just to hear another viewpoint.

    Thanks Megan

No results yet but spoke to a specialist myeloma nurse at The Beatson in Glasgow who was very nice and calmed me down. She thinks it is too early to change treatment yet and to be referred for a second opinion to Glasgow
