    Hello Sally

so sorry to hear about your dad and your mum it must be difficult for you to see the people you love suffering in one way or another if mum is mentally ill there is not much can be done for her until it is recognised
as for your dad the main problem with the treatment can be for some people extreme tiredness it seems to take all your energy so he will need some looking after if you can arrange it you might be able to get some help for him from McMillan they can certainly help with control of pain several members on this site have had help from them in this regard
Good Luck for you and your dad
    Regards JO

    hi Eve

At UCH they offer the injections which go just under the skin subcutainsly
(sorry wrong spelling i am a terrible speller) I know two people who are having it that way it has much less side effects and much easier to administer you should look it up I know you are good at doing that

    Regards to Slim

    hi Scott
glad to hear you are ok I felt quite tired when I finished CDT and had reguler blood transfusions for at least eighteen months after I was first diagnosed I believe a lot of this is to do with the lack of kidney function
but the good news is I havn't had one for nearly a year now so things do get better i still have a bit of PN in my feet but that also is not to bad
just a bit of numbness in my toes;-)I have pemidrinade(bone strengthener) once a month again a reduced dose 30mgs due to the kidney damage again
    Keep Well
    Love Jo x
