    Hello Eve

I was dissapointed to hear about Slims result do you think they have given you the correct information as it seemed he was doing so well it really cheers you up doesn't it! when some consultants say such callous things what Slim needs is positive things not negative I think you have drawn the short straw in what they call the post code lottery:-/
Regards to Slim. Are you feeling ok you must be exhausted with all the worry and upset:-P

    Hello Gill
I really glad Stephen is a bit better and home again it nice when someone looks after you and cooks tempting dinners I hope he enjoys them
As for the Thalidamide my consultant told me of the costs when I started which I thought was a huge cost as it has been around for the last fifty years but I was grateful to have it the funny thing was each time I went to pharmacy the young girls dont really look at you I was always asked if I was pregnant I am 64! I hope stephen continues to improve

    Hello Ivan

I think some times alternatives are as good for the mind as the body I see no reason why you could not take some cumin along with the regular chemo as long as they dont fight I have also seen that cinnamon is another good spice that might help fight cancer if it helps do it the medical proffesion guess it half the time anyway as you can see with the different doses consultants give you
GOOD LUCK for your journey keep us informed how you get on

    Hi Ivan

Good luck with your CDT it really worked for me the only other thing I would say is its much easir to take the steriods with a yogurt in the morning and you will need a laxative as thalidomide can cause constipation.
Did you know how the discoverd that thalidomide worked for myeloma, they were treating someone who had leprosy(thalidomide is used a lot to treat this disease) when they found someone also had MM the Thalidomide worked better on the MM than the leprosy a EUREKA! moment. Let us know how you get on with the treatment

    Hello Bridget

I am so glad you feel enough to post we have missed you have the new bad back pains gone from your back, swollen legs are terrible when I first had the renal failure my legs were like elephants to say the least my kidney consultant told me to drink at least 3 ltres of fluid not just water and try to walk as much as i could this seemed to help a lot he did not give me diuretics as these are bad for the kidneys

    Hello Dia

glad you are now feeling a bit better lets hope the leg is not a Velcade problem and can be sorted out sinply:-) I have been reading up about the research done in american they have come to the conclusion that a lower dose of Velcade over a little longer period has had the same results but with a lot less side effects I hope our consultants start to take note one size does not fit all:-/ . Had a good holiday in wales NO RAIN came back with a bit of a suntan went up snowdon but only on the train.

    Love Jo x 😎
