On the continent the first line of treatment is Velcade plus DEX this means if there is any kidney damage the outcomes are much better
my consultant is Polish and he told me this

I agree with all you are saying my mp is a tory and for my sins I voted for him in opposition he worked really hard for the community so I thought I would give him a chance but now he is one of Daves boys and since he has become housing minister he tows the party line. My GP was hopeless I went to the surgery hardly able to walk and they sent me home to take two paracetamol my husband took me to AE next day with double pnuemonia and renal failure and as I discovered MM that really fills me with confidence
that they will do the right thing? I agree there has to be a lot more protest mind you the last lot were not much better shutting my local hospital with a growing population in this area

sorry peter is having such a hard time at the moment the swelling must be awful.Due to my kidney damage they had to reduce the dosage of aciclover as it was not good for the kidneys it help reduce my ankle swelling although when I stopped taking it I got shingles which was terrible so it's worth taking it.
I hope your sciatica is also getting better >:-)

I don't know if anyone else is worried but I am about the GP 's holding the money will they be willing to fund second and third treatments or even first expensive ones will we all be fighting the system agsin

How are you is your treatment going well are you feeeling any relief.
I had to giggle about the shoes at new years we went out I had a smart blue velvet dress so bought a pair of really nice silk blue shoes with two inch heels felt the bee's knees then sciatica struck so I had to go to town and get a cheap pair of flattys £6.99 oh well thats life we had a nice evening.

Sorry Peter is not feeling so well I hope things get better soon, Benjamin looks lovely i Bet he is missing his walks if your leg is so bad I hope it clears up soon mine lasted for eight weeks I know what agony you are in have you thought of accupuncture it really helped me. I do hope you can get your party I am sure it will be ok something to look forward to. I know what you mean about children telling you what to do my daughters are always doing it roles reversed or what. 😎

foot massage sounds great glad it relaxed you had one once by a chinese accupuncturist it started of ok then he sharted on the pressure points and soon had me writhing in agony no relaxation there then, felt ok after.
I know what you mean about taking DEX i found it went down better with a small glass of milk if anything can make dex any better good luck with rest of your treatment keep us posted

this was so well put when I was first diagnosed I did not want to speak or see anyone I was afraid of the shutters coming down in peoples eyes when the word cancer is spoken I joined this site and it was my saviour it made me realise i was not alone I then found out my true friends and they let me know in no uncertain terms it made no difference to them I am lucky to have a wonderful husband who is my carer and my two daughters who really did support me from the start but it is the people on this site who have made me feel released and able to talk about it freely thanks to you all

glad peters kidneys are ok mine are good and stable at the moment but i do get swollen ankles in the evening but they are ok in the morning I think it is to do with fact I have to drink at least two litres a day which is really hard for me at the start it was three litres i felt like I was drowning, I really hope Peter responds to revlimid give him my best wishes

Managed to do it took a picture from my lap top camera hadn't thought of that, its not very good but you can now at least see my moon face caused by the steriods I am on at the moment to help my damaged kidneys, are Peters kidneys ok now mine are working at about 40% I luckily managed to avoid dialysis but only by the skin of my teeth my creatinine was 585 when I was diagnosed. Thanks again for the help

ouch another painful bone marrow I have had three all painful because I did not realise you could have some sort of sedative will ask next time
any way your consultant may not be right life is full of supprises lets hope its one of those times
