<p>It is good to hear that you have had a good experience with your first VCD. My Mother in Law starts today and is very worried about the side effects. She is in a similar position to you in that she has heart and kidney problems as a result of the MM.</p>

<p>My MiL has been in hospital for 3 weeks now, having gone in for an ECG for heart palpitations. Blood tests revealed she had kidney failure (down to 10% function)and sewas admitted. Further blood test releaved Light MM. The last three weeks have been spent trying to balance the treatments for her kidneys, heart and the MM. She was admitted to hospital the week before due to Atrial Fibrillation (unusual heart rate) and it was discovered that she had kidney failure and was down to 10% function. She was then moved to a renal unit as they thought they had hr heart issue under control.</p>
