    Hi Tina
My husband had a severe reaction when he was first on revlimid. Started off as a rash and within a week all the skin on his body was peeling off. Not like sunburn, but horrible big chunks of skin. We were a bit stupid and thought it was "normal" so delayed going to hospital. When we did go he was admitted at once and on drip etc for a week. They said they had never seen this kind of reaction. A month off drugs but started again. This all happened in 2011 and thankfully hasn't happened again
    Good luck

    Hi Lolly

Think it's today your husband has SCT so hope all goes ok. My husband was 60 when he had it. Coped ok ish with it but it took a while before his new stem cells kicked in which was a bit worrying. Even more worrying was they keep getting his name wrong so I was worried he may have been given someone else's!!
8 years on though and he is now on maintenance revelamid and Dex…I guess we never thought we would get to this 8 years

    Hi Maureen
Have just spent the last hour reading all your threads. What a horrible time you and your husband have had Shed a tear or two for you. Am so glad he is at home. It'll be a tough time for you both but you sound so hopeful and optimistic.Hope you manage to get out and about..guess it't colder up north than in balmy Devon!!
Keep smiling and enjoy those glasses of Rioja

Thanks everyone for your replies. A few more tears with a glass of wine tonight reading them. Dickb..you are right, life wasn't perfect before MM So yes, I have just organised a couple of days away on my own visiting friends and we do lunches now as well…a sign of old age not just MM! We used to go abroad a lot but cannot get insurance. Just returned from France for a few days uninsured. Always stressful and in fact both gone down with a bug on return. Not worth it…I'm going to book breaks in this lovely country we live instead knowing the NHS is on hand!
I will try and stop feeling so sorry for myself and concentrate on what we can do rather than can't do. It's taken me 8 years to get on this blog but you guys have inspired me in less than a week
    Love to all
