  • Hi Gill
No it is not suppose to be ok,far from it,its learning to cope with the fact that people,do not know what to say to you,and by saying nothing,in vase they upset you, they do not realise this hurts more.
As you know my daughter lost her child Matty, and she has got to the stage she puts people in colours RED AMBER and GREEN

Oh Sue… :-(. I know that I haven't spoken to you before, I'm quite new. It's also my partner who has MM.

I often wonder *how* you do cope and accept that news??!! If I can be honest, I don't have any advise to give – other than love each other and make this time more special than you have any other.

I am so very sorry Sue…

I know I felt the same way about Slim,it seemed like you have had it get on with it,but who is in charge.

It hits you after a length of time in hospital, they do realise this, but I think everyone would agree you will make better progress at home.

    Hi Sue
You are right it could have been approached in a different way, people say when you have news that shocks you,you only hear what your mind will accept. So may be no matter which way it was put,it would have had the same effect,

I do not think any one can give a person a time limit, yes they can say,the treatment is no longer working, and no…[Read more]

    Hi Sarah

I think Dai is right concerning the chest infections, when henry had the SCT he was given lots of tablets to stop different infections,I am not talking about normal antibiotics,in theory if Henry has been treated with antibiotics plus steroids, his chest should clear up,unless he has damage to his lungs.

You must trust your own…[Read more]

    Hi Dai
With out taking over Stan and Mary,s thread I would slightly disagree with your figures,If they could only find why some people respond well and others do not,I can honestly say I do not know if Slim will get 6 months or 6 years, and i do not think the experts know either:-P

As for stress, mine was because I found people not doing the job…[Read more]

  • Hi "K"

Welcome to the site. Sorry your Mum is having such a trying time. Don't have any specific answers, but just wanted to say that, maybe, given all the circumstances, less treatment is better at her stage. Is your Mum able to discuss this with you? Have you been in touch with the Pallitative Care Team in your area? I find their…[Read more]

    Well put Dai

I think you do go through a time when you want to scream at the world, but you do get past that, and just think we will make the best of the time we have.
