SCT all done and coped reasonably well&#x1f60f; Got infection that wouldn&#8217;t budge until they changed antibiotics which did the trick! When they told kev he could go home you couldn&#8217;t see him for dust! <p>It&#8217;s day 12 and kevs been poorly this week, his mouth right down to his stomach have took a battering which has caused him to have infections and high temps: not eating or drinking, he&#8217;s been on morphine pump for two days and the usual transfusions, of blood, platelets and antibiotics! <p>I&#8217;m not on dex and I&#8217;m awake all hours with stuff going round in my head so decided to get up at 5.30 this morning and leave Kevin sound asleep due to the 200mg thalidomide and the very low HB 7.5 so today it&#8217;s blood transfusion. <p>I&#8217;m a carer for my husband kev,he was diagnosed August 2010 aged 55, after 6 months CDT went on to have sct march/April 2011 but only got 7 months compleat remission and been on velcade/ dex and now on rev/ dex and stable or plateau&#8217;d for the last year! </p>

<p>Those dex days! <p>It seems such a long time since kev had his sct but I can remember he wanted to sleep a lot,<br />
But he also remembers the nurses &amp; drs bombarding him with tests blood transfusions Ect: but I kept telling him it&#8217;ll all be worth it but then he&#8217;d fall asleep! Hang in there carol and here&#8217;s hoping the next few days won&#8217;t be too bad,</p>
