Hi Bridget.

In my life knitting, sewing, embroidery and watching paint dry had about the same attraction for me as poking my eyes out with red hot needles.

BUT I am SOO pleased that your particular mojo is working again and you are enjoying doing things that bring you pleasure.

  • Dai you have certainly saved my (and Stephen's) blushes I have been in fits of laughter since reading your post. I was worried that I would embarass everybody so much they would not talk about it. I am now on the look out for little old ladies. I wonder if we could keep one or two in the garage and wheel them out when needed. HOLD ON I am now a…[Read more]

There is a problem for me there David. I would want to delete the bit about having mm being great, but want to keep the bit about meeting nice people.

Light bulb moment! Can we edit each others' posts? 😀 😀 😀

I could just leave the bit about nice people

  • Thank you all for you replies. You are such a great bunch of people when support or a shoulder to lean on or a bit of humour is required.

One thing we have noticed about Stephen's latest drug combo is very unpleasant, frequent and smelly wind.:-S

Sorry to bring up such a horrid subject but it has got to a stage where he exits a shop quickly…[Read more]

  • I know when Stephen was diagnosed in November 2008 His oncologist told us, with pride, that he had patients who had survived 5 years or more. At the time I wanted to jump out of my seat, shake the man and say "but he is only 53"

I now agree that if you have to have an incurable cancer mm is one that gives you time to reflect and get things…[Read more]

    Oh Sarah

I am so pleased that Gordon felt he had done all he wanted and, as others have said, his legacy surrounds you and your family.

I am worried about travelling to France. It is not like hopping over to Normandy It is right in the centre. We used to do it in one go (12 hours from door to door)but now with dogs and Stephen having mm we…[Read more]

  • Hi Everybody

Stephen's second auto SCT did not take He has now been put on RCD (as above)

Has anybody else had this? If so how did you get on? What were the side effects? etc

I am dreading the dexatude. Although the dose is lower this time the short temper is bubbling a little bit.
