Hi Sally

Welcome to the site. I am sure that you will get a great deal of information and support from everybody on here. It is my husband who is the mm person, and I have found a great deal of support and information on here. Good luck

I cannot imagine what you put in your post to cause offense as I have not been on here for a while, but I think it would take a great deal to offend us lot. After all the greatest offense is getting this b**tard disease!!!

I am so glad that Slim seems to be on the mend. Fingers crossed that he keeps on improving.

Oh Kay I wish you had scrolled a little lower and read "from devastation to elation". Thank you for your kind thoughts and wishes but they checked again and Stephen has got more frozen cells and they are viable He will be going in for a second SCT after all.

Hope you are well love from Gill xxx

    Dear Mary

I am so sorry for your loss. Painfree and comfy is all any one of us asks for at the end, and the fact that he was able to tell you that he had enjoyed his life is really nice to know.

    Love from Gill xxx

    Hi Bridget

Why didn't they think to ask your friends on here? We could have told them about you (and the rest of us) being weird:-)

Stephen seems to be similar to you with mm. PP not too bad but boney damage very bad.

Stephen's consultant is not sure which way to go. He meets with a group of specialists regularly (TBM tumour board meeting?) SCT for sure revlamid maybe, bendamustine (sp) if bendomustine can be funded (that makes me sooo mad how much does this country spend on self induced illnes?) or he may be accepted for a trial.

    Good night fellow weirdos Gillxxx

It is so nice to be right sometimes. Found my copy of the poem "sexy at 60" and it is Pam Ayres

Thanks for all your lovely posts. I have been walking around with a huge smile ever since. We were told that there is no guarantee that a second will help. But it is a chance. We are determined to make the most of whatever comes.

Happy Easter to All Gill xxx

PS for those that don't know (or remember) The reason for the expression on our faces in the photo is just as the camera shutter went off Stephen pinched my bum!!! Sunshine like today always reminds me of that and yes the cheeky so and so still pinches it sometimes:-)

Hi there Caroline oxycontin has never been prescribed to my mm husband and I know nothing about the side effects My husband takes vast amounts of morphine (mst and liquid morphine for breakthrough pain) to get him through.

When he was first prescribed morphine his med team did concern themselves abut addiction. They soon reached the (correct) conclusion that Stphen would never become addicted to anything.

Can you ask his medical team to re-look at his pain control and consider giving him something else? Do keep in touch Kindest regards Gillx

Dear Min What rotten rotten luck. I am so sorry that it didn't work out. Next time you feel like having a holiday let me know. We will leave our men at home and have a pensioners party on the costa de something. Love from Gill xx

PS… Maybe we could be extras in the TV thingy Benidorm. I love that show It is as crass as the old Crossroads oops showing my age. For younger browsers Crossroads was a sort of soap opera that was so bad all the sets used to wobble and start falling down. The actors used to hang on to them to prevent total mayhem

You are all such a source of support. Today is another day and Stephen and I have decided to live in the moment (according to dog experts that is what dogs do).

The sun has been shining here all day. We have 2 stupid little westies that have chased each other(and us) ragged and the okay dokay bitd has just sung his evening song. I know, I know????? Listen to your local blackbird they do say "okay dokay"

What would we all do without this site? Thank you so much for all the people that make it possible. Have a good evening everybody

Heartfelt love and good wishes from Gillxxx
