Never had much interest in Hastings but loved the 15 and 16 hundreds. As to all those poor females they were divorced, beheaded, died, divorced beheaded survived. I bet Katherine Parr danced on Henry's grave

    Dearest Min

I too get angry with my mm husband. We fall out like any "normal" couple. Bridget's words are so telling mm patients either treat medication, hospital visits and all the c**p that goes with this illness as "normal" or roll over.

If Peter reminds you again that he is not well tell him off good and proper and make him sit on the naughty step. Anyone else got one of those?

PS as to history I remember a little regarding the Tudor period I can still recite Henry VIII's wives and how they met their end. I think I must have been a very bloodthirsty child at school

Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement, especially to all the people who have trod this path and have their own battle to fight It means a great deal to have your support. Yes today is better.

I realised a long time ago that if one worries about the time that is left you may as well just throw that time away. I just needed to think of that for a while since Dr S's news.

We both enjoy cooking but for the second day running could not find it in us to bother. We got yesterday's lunch on vouchers apart from the tip so today we splashed out and went to our local eat all you can for 6.99 Chinese restaurant.

They have about 40 different dishes that you serve yourself from and you can eat as much or as little as you want. Neither of us are huge eaters but it is nice to go back for a little more of something that you like. eg chicken satay with a really crunchy peanut sauce, and one of the many deserts on offer is jelly and ice cream (I am retired but a school child at heart)

We may not have pigged out completely but we probably won't eat again until Saturday:-)

Thanks again and love to all Gill xxx

PS the next meal we have will be something very plain and boring. Bangers and mash anyone?

    Hi Min

I am so sorry that you have had a chain of bad news regarding Peter's health. I have my fingers crossed for better news for you.

Nothing about mm is funny but I think I am so stupid I make myself chuckle. When you mentioned tanks I thought Peter kept fish:-/

You are right about Co-enzyme Q10 it really helps with cramp. My cardiologist told me about it when I started having night cramps due to taking beta blockers. Jumping out of bed and screaming in the middle of the night is not the best restful night remedy for anybody.

Best place to order them is from http://www.healthspan.co.uk you can get 200 mg capsules. Thank you to the person that told me of this company as it is much cheaper than where I was buying them from.

Stephen still gets very slight cramp in his fingers when he wakes up but it is nothing like the calf cramp he was getting. I think part of his hand cramp is due to the fact that he sleeps on his back with his hands crossed over his chest. Sick beast says it will save anybody laying him out when he goes:-S

    Dear Gaye

Thank you so much for your reply I needed somebody to make me put my sensible hat back on. It just comes as such a shock when you seem to have got some "normal" life back to be told by mm "fooled you there didn't I?"

One more bottle of champagne left and that is staying in the garage until Christmas day. If we get mum in law to have a glass or two she will doze off with the rest of us.

    Hi Pual

It is my husband who has mm and he is the grand old age of 55 Although He has been through all the first line treatment chemo SCT etc I am probably not the best person to talk to as we are of a different age. I do know that there is an under 50 site on here and I am sure that you will get a great deal of support and information from there.

That is not to say you are not welcome here. Maybe drop in from time to time just to see what is being said.

    Kind regards Gill

So pleased that your biopsy was pain free. I know that I have seen my big "Bob the builder Oh it is only a 4 inch gash in my hand/foot whatever put a plaster on it and stop fussing" husband clench his teeth, hands and curl his toes when having a bmb.

The wretched tool they use looks like a giant corkscrew and I remember somebody on here posting that they agreed but thought their doctor had left the wine bottle on the end of it!

We are in Orpington Kent no more snow but what we have is not shifting and has frozen over. Very dangerous for all except our stupid Westie who runs around the frozen garden slipping and sliding and doesn't give a hoot. When she gets taken out for her pavement walk she is fine but the humans are slipping all over the place
