Ha ha Tom it's the comb over effect that's so weird and the fact that you have to be careful not to have the shower too hot or you burn your head!

Hi All thanks very much, it's getting better every day and Debs, you seem to be experiencing the same, I have 2 goodish days then one awful one, even walking upstairs is an effort.
The hair situation is grim, I've what I can only desrcibe as a 'Mo Mowlam' at the minute, all the wrong length, colour and I hate the wig and the scarves and it's…[Read more]

Dear Tom, Amelie and David, thank you for your good wishes it's a tough road to take and it is nice to know where there is support and advice whe you need it.
Min, I was so upset to hear from the nurses about Peter, I have thought long about you too. I have made my comments to the powers that be, but am not optimistic. Perhaps when I am a bit…[Read more]

Well, I've made it this far, have colitis, and still feel shocking. Every day a little bit better though. Thank you for all the ice cube and baby wipe advice, these were a godsend as the only things I've not had were a sore mouth or tail end!
Now all I need is some hair and a very long remission.

Dear Min
This is truly awful, I know from our very brief encounter just how much you and you family were praying for Peter to pull through this. There are too few words to express how we feel.

Sally what a predicament- you need to ask all the questions, take notes or record clinic conversations to find out what is the plan, your mum will presumably continue to do her own thing and you dad probably won't want to let go either and normal routine, however odd might be best only time will tell, perhaps you could speak to a MH nurse via your…[Read more]

Oh Dai
Your leg problem may be unrelated but it will have sapped what energy you would have anyway as it tries to resolve it's self and heal, take care and keep going, enjoy your holiday in Pembroke

Another thought about the revlimid, which also dropped my levels to zero, I had 5 weeks from finishing it before I felt it was fully out of my system, so it seems to have a very long after effect,

Hello Ted
I feel a bit impertinent as a relative newcomer to this site too, to be the first to reply to you, but anyway welcome. I have not experienced mm in the same way as yourself but know a chap who has, he too finds 'observation only' a bit of a trial but I think that if they say you don't need treatment, take this as a fantastic reprieve…[Read more]

Dear Carol
I was on the revlimid as induction ( RCD) in the trial and was stiff as a board for 3 months then I seemed to loosen up though still felt very sick and weak in the 4 th month. I had several chest infections, if the cough keeps up perhaps you should report it? I found the stem cell collection and the zometa all cause me lots of pain and…[Read more]
