Hi terry when I was in free mans hospital in Newcastle in October last year for my transplant, I asked the same question. Unfortunately you had to pay to get on line as I'd already payed some stupid amount for the tv I decided against paying for wifi and just used my phone which has Internet on. Well it depends how they do it ,my hospital gave a cannula in each arm one takes blood out then it passes through a machine scoops out the cells then back in to body in the other arm so i had 0 movement had to keep both arms straight for hours !! others have a hickman line or similar and would be able to move i think.

Sorry SCT hasnt been as successful as hoped and you have the bone pain.

After trying numerous analgesic I started matrifen patches 12.5mcg/hour(fentanyl)
I had tried to get a longer lasting analgisia to maintain the level in blood and be more consistant.

Im in cycle7 of what i thought maximum allowed care of NICE was 8 cycles only ,my paraprotein plateaued and has since regained a few 20% drops but is still 10 g/l
I can't tolerate the full 1/3mg dose for each week but need to decide if worth trying for all 1.3 doses…[Read more]

Hi I'm in Keswick Cumbria age 55 local hospital Carlile but had my sct,at Freeman's Newcastle under prof. Jackson. It's 9 weeks since sct, hair growing back slowly (white) got called sir last week !!!!!! And also charged for a pensioners meal lol so that might be a good thing ?????

Hi Cally thank god i thought i was the only one wit a rash!! I put a post on here under newcomers SPOT'S wish i'd seen this first. Went to my Dr's got anti hyst tablets and cream seam to be working!!! Had my STC 5 weeks ago and i hope i'm not going to suffer these spots for 9 months !!! Any way nice to see you on here Sandra.
