    Hi everyone,

Just an update on Garry's SCT
He's now on day 9 and is still on a syringe driver for sickness together with hydration and morphine for his stomach cramps although the doctors tell us he's doing well, it's difficult to understand that when he has now developed an infection and say that it was expected. They are taking him down for X-ray to check for signs of chest infection. He's quite shocked that he still has the trots as he has taken a few Imodium.

Louise and her family have arrived for a short visit and have been to visit Garry he now has 2 dvd's of Argo and 2 box set of Game of Thrones! As our son had the same choice – I don't think he's well enough to put the dvd's on yet.

    We'll see what tomorrow brings

    Love Helen & Family

    Hello Helen
    Yes a good name!
Thanks for the comments – I think the grandchildren are looking forward to her staying now.
Just at the moment I'm visiting Garry and he logged onto the forum site, it has given him a boost.
His neuts are 1.3, the sickness has subsided but now has the trots again he negotiates his drip stand very well after unplugging it.
Our son Mark has developed a cold so cannot visit him and Louise lives in Manchester but we all have iPads so we FaceTime each other at any time this helps us feel closer.
Thank you Peter,Tom,vicki,Colin &Helen for your reassuring words

    love
    Helen

    Hi Tom and Peter

Iv'e arranged for our son to look after our cat for a while.
Garry sickness got worse again throughout the day and has been put on a syringe driver for his sickness which is a 24hr one so we'll see how it works.
I made a mistake when I said he was on day 4 it's day 4 today his neuts are slowly coming down they are 3.13
We both had a bad day yesterday and today is another day so all being positive.

    Regards

    Helen

    Hi Pete
Thanks for that I'm pleased things are going well for you.
I know Garry has'nt got to zero yet unless when I go today things have changed I'll take him some jelly from M&S maybe he'll fancy that, he's eating custard & soups – he's finding eating difficult.
Think I'll put the cat in a cattery for a while just to make things easier for us when he comes home.
    Regards
    Helen

Hello my name is Helen I'm Garry's wife and Louise's mum.

Today is day 4 of his treatment he's feeling very sick and very tired, after visiting him he's been told that our cat maybe a problem for his emmune system when he returns home has anyone experienced this? We have had our cat for 13 years now and it seems as I sit here thinking and typing this bloody Myeloma is trying to take everything.

Sorry for being a whine but any comments would be appreciated (ones that don't say get rid of the cat)

    Regards

    Helen
