    Hi Di
My husband had renal failure with hiss myeloma and if I can be of any assistance let me know. You can have dyalysis with chemo if his kidneys drop to 10 or below.

    Hi Gordon
Nigel had his SCT scan the same time as you, he is still on co-trimoxszole he takes his Monday and Thursdays. He was told to continue for 3/12 however he wasnt told to stop them on his last hematology appointment, he also takes long term penicillin twice a day. Hope this helps.

    Hi Jenny
Let me say firstly how sorry that your dad has decided to stop all treatment.
My husband was diagnosed last year with Myeloma and Renal Failure I really struggled to find any one who had the kidney problems. H e also refused treatment and dialysis. He was only 51 yrs old and thought his life was over. After a lot of nagging he started dialysis and was told that he would be on it for the rest of his life. He was on the same trial as your dad. After 5 sessions the kidneys started to work. They still are only 15% but least he is no longer on dialysis. If you want to email me judymdennis@aol.com I am happy to chat.
If dad is determined to have treatment read your book on kidney failure they must have given him when he was diagnosed.
I will pray for your dad and your family.

    Hi Nicki
Nigel is on Fletcher Ward and I agree with you that the staff are great. Due to his Kidney failure the consultants have been very aware not to overload him with fluids. He is waiting for a blood transfusion and hopefully will feel a little better afterwards.
I am glad Sam is feeling better and wish him luck for the future.

    Kind Regards,

    Judy x

Thanks for the good wishes, Nigel got a phone call yesterday from the Hospital saying they have a bed yesterday he had to get booked in then he can go home and return today. As you can guess it was quite a shock but least he will be home for Christmas. Will keep you informed. Keep well.
